Grades 1 - 3 All sessions meet Mondays through Thursdays of two consecutive weeks: 12:30 - 2:00 Remember: Grade levels indicated are only a general guideline. Grade 3 October 2- 12 Sprouts! The students will be introduced to the 6-Trait Writing Process which easily augments any writing program. This workshop provides all the needed elements to help budding writers blossom. The students will be assisted in selecting writing topics of interest and moving through the writing process. Grades 1-3 January 22- February 1 The all-time favorite author, Jan Brett, is our model for writing as a process and other content area projects that naturally emerge from her delightful stories. Grades 1-3 March 11-21 Another well-loved author, Leo Lionni, is our model for writing as a process and other content area projects that naturally emerge from his engaging stories. Grades 1-3 April 29- May 9 We will wrap up the year with the ever-popular author, Eric Carle, as our model for writing as a process and other content area projects that naturally emerge from his appealing stories.
